FiftyCrows Television and New Media are crucial components to our goal of reaching broader audiences with documentary photography. We’ve completed four short digital films of about four minutes each. We are in production on a fifth with Magnum photographer Paul Fusco and his essay Chernobyl Legacy, and additional twelve of past winners of the Photo Fund. Each short contains a photographer’s essay with narrative from the photographer and a call-to-action at the end.
The internet, television and film are THE most important distribution methods to reach large, new audiences with the important stories photographers bring to us. We’ve secured significant distribution partners with major and minor networks in both the cable and satellite television markets as well as film festivals. These pioneering efforts position FiftyCrows as the leader in a new paradigm of documentary photography distribution reaching millions of people around the world every month. |
