About Victor

Victor Sira produced two projects working with the Incarnation Children’s Center, a residence and outpatient treatment center for children in New York City. This collaboration yielded his 1998 project “Born with HIV” and his 1999 project “HIV in DR”(the Dominican Republic). Sira received the Andrea Frank Grant in 2001 and was a W. Eugene Smith Finalist in 1999 and 2000. He began his essay Uprooted in 1996.
