About Ray

After graduating with honors from his alma mater, Yaba College of Technology, Ray Onwuemegbulem joined Nigeria’s flagship newspaper, The Guardian, as a staff photographer. He would continue on to work with Guardian Express and Lagos Life newspapers as a senior photographer and photo editor. He has been exhibited at the Nigerian National Museum and honored by the Media rights Agenda (MRA), a branch of the International freedom of Expression exchange  (IFEX) based in Canada. Onwuemegbulem has won two Reuter’s Foundation international photojournalism fellowship awards.
