About Pedro

Lobo was born in Rio de Janeiro and completed his undergraduate studies in 1978 at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. He went on to study at the International Center of Photography in New York on a Fulbright Scholarship under the guidance of Robert Blake, Fred Ritchin and others. His photographs have appeared in galleries, festivals, and museum collections across South America and Europe. His project “Popular Architecture in Rio de Janeiro was recently awarded the 2002 Photography Grant by the VITAE Foundation.
