About Adriana

Adriana Lestido was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1955. She studied photography at the “Escuela de Fotografia de Avellaneda” from 1979 to 1982. Later she took part in several workshops, the most important one was with prof. Fred Ritchin, Pablo Ortiz Monasterio and Susan Meiselas, in 1989, on the subject of the photo essay. She began working professionally as a photojournalist in 1982, for the newspaper La Voz and other media. Some time later she entered the staff of the news agency Diarios y Noticias (DyN) the newspaper Pagina 12, and the magazine Pagina 30. She currently works as a free-lance photographer and coordinates workshops on photographic essays. She’s represented by the Vu agency.
