About Heidi

Heidi Bradner has been published in New York Times Magazine, TIME, Newsweek, Stern, Der Spiegel, Focus, The Independent, the Anchorage Daily News, and Focus (Italy). As a photographer and journalist, she has documented the native peoples of Alaska, and done extensive work in the former Soviet Republics of Central Asia, the Causcuses, the Baltics, and remote areas of Russia. Since 1995,  she has concentrated on building a body of work documenting the Chechan-Russian conflict and Chernobyl ten years after the disaster.

Since 1991, based in Moscow
