Pieter Hugo Lecture

The Photo Alliance Lecture series will bring South African photographer Pieter Hugo to San Francisco on November 2nd. Hugo has received international attention in the past few years by being named the Standard Bank Young Artist for 2007, and he is the recipient of the first prize award in the Portraits section of the 2006 World Press Photo competition. Hugo's work has been included in the traveling exhibition ReGeneration: Fifty Photographers of Tomorrow, as well as in Colors and Aperture magazines. He will give a lecture with photographer Leon Borensztein on November 2nd, 2007 at the San Francisco Art Institute Lecture Hall, located at 800 Chestnut St. (at Jones) in San Francisco at 7:30 pm.
