Documentary Photography in the Digital Age
Stanford University will host the symposium, “Documentary Photography in the Digital Age” on October 20th from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm in Annenberg Auditorium. The symposium will explore the impact that digital technology has had on documentary photography and photojournalism and will feature guest speakers Fred Ritchin from New York University, Anne Wilkes Tucker from the Houston Museum of Fine Arts, Danny Lyon, Chris Killip of the Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts at Harvard University and Stephen Perloff. The event is organized by the Stanford University Department of Art and Art History and the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism. The symposium is free and open to the public.
