Visa pour l'Image Festival

Congratulations to Kadir van Lohuizen, who was recently awarded the Visa d'or for News, the top prize at the Visa pour l'Image Festival in Perpignan, France. Recently, Kadir has been documenting conflict in Chad, Sudan and Lebanon, and in the past he has worked in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Sierra Leone and Angola to expose the diamond industry, tracing the traffic of diamonds from the mines to the consumer markets. For his latest project, he has been traveling to the US to document the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
